I am a certified Prepare/Enrich counselor, and have several years of experience in helping engaged/seriously-committed couples to navigate difficult topics before and after the marriage.

PREPARE/ENRICH, one of the most widely used programs for premarital counseling and premarital education, is used to facilitate your pre-marital counseling process. Over the last 30 years, the PREPARE/ENRICH relationship assessment has empowered and energized more than 3 million couples and is considered the #1 relationship inventory and couples assessment tool!
PREPARE/ENRICH highlights and focuses on the most important areas in a married couple’s relationship. Follow up sessions involve strategic discussions of your results to elicit clarity and relationship health.

Step1: If you decided to work with me and want to use PREPARE/ENRICH online assessment, I will register you and your partner/ fiancé to take the assessment. Only certified facilitators can register participants to have access to the inventory.
Step 2: You and your partner/ fiancé will receive an email from PREPARE/ENRICH containing a login code and a link to the webpage where you will complete your assessment. One-time program fee of $35 to gain access to the inventory is paid directly on PREPARE/ENRICH website.
Step3: After you and your partner have completed the assessment, you can schedule sessions with me to discuss your results. The full program can be done in 6 to 8 standard sessions with me (50-minutes each). Ideally I encourage couples to plan for a total of 9 sessions (one overall result discussion session and 8 strategic discussions of specific areas outlined in the assessment).

Premarital Counseling - Before “I do” Packages

Option 1: Six Session Package
A more comprehensive option for engaged couples. Using the Prepare-Enrich assessment, you will get a snapshot of your relationship dynamics, your strengths and growth areas. Additionally, I will analyze your relationship dynamics, the interactions that get your stuck and make a plan moving forward that best suits your needs. Specific areas of concentration include:
- Building Effective Communication Skills
- Develop Conflict Resolution Skills After the Fights
- Setting Financial Goals Expectations
- Managing Stress
- Getting Clarity on Relationship Roles and Expectations

Option 2: Four Session Package

Premarital Couples who want a snapshot of their relationship strength and growth areas prefer this option with the use of the Prepare-Enrich Assessment.
The first session is focused on reviewing the Prepare-Enrich Assessment results. The following 3 sessions focus on improving identified growth areas. My goal is to give you the practical tools to feel as confident as possible entering your wedding day.
Cost: $ 900 ($225 per session)

Are follow-up sessions required?

YES. The assessment alone is meaningless itself. As a certified facilitator and a licensed couple’s therapist, I will walk through the results, maximize your strength areas and help you unpack and navigate the growth areas presented in your relationship. By working with me you will receive more therapeutic interventions than non-licensed facilitators can provide.
What is the recommended number of follow-up sessions?

The full program can be done in 6 to 8 standard sessions with me (50-minutes each). Ideally I encourage couples to plan for a total of 9 sessions (one overall result discussion session and 8 strategic discussions of specific areas outlined in the assessment).
Every couple is different. A recommendation of having more than 8 sessions is NOT a negative evaluation of your relationship. It simply a suggestion to allow you more time to discuss certain growth areas in-depth.
Moreover, additional sessions are also appropriate or couples who desire time for some specific work or attention to some concerns that are frequently encountered by engaged couples, for instance, family of origin issues, relationships with future in-laws, and work and family life balance, etc.
What will you expect to gain from the pre-marital counseling?

In your initial session I will go over some of the results of your unique assessment, and will begin to tailor a specific plan for you and your partner individually and conjointly. The remaining sessions will go through each of the major topics listed above, and your specific assessment results, using structured exercises to help you make improvements and grow in your understanding of your partner and relationship. Sometimes there are homework assignments to do between the sessions, to really make sure you are implementing what you learned into your every day life.
Additionally, you and your partner will receive a complimentary workbook from me to provide you structured tools to further discuss and grow your relationship.
I'm not engaged, can I also take PREPARE/ENRICH?

The answer is YES! PREPARE-ENRICH is also relevant for couples who are dating, or have been committed for some times and want to continue to grow their relationship. PREPARE/ENRICH is also a great tool to help married couples, too.

What languages of PREPARE/ENRICH are available other than English?

YES! PREPARE/ENRICH has many different languages available for their current research products – over 30 translations!
